Professor Colin McGuckin

 

Colin McGuckin is the first Professor of Regenerative Medicine at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He has a PhD from the University of Ulster on leukaemia research. His postdoctoral position was at St George’s Hospital medical school in the department of Haematology, where he worked on chronic anaemia and Stem Cell Disorders. He is a visiting Professor at Rice University and the University of Texas in the US as well as IPCT University in Brazil.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Professor Albert Ramon

- He is a consultant at the University Hospital Antwerp Department of Gastroenterohepatology.
- He is a guest lector at the University Houston (USA) Texas Medical school department of Immunopathology.
- He is a consultant at the Institute of Genetics and Molecular Pathology in Cologne (G).
- Co-founder of ECMTA (European Center of Medical and Technical Applications) Cologne.
- Recently he has been nominated as guest senior researcher in the department of Urology at the Lucas Hospital Duesseldorf- Neuss.
- Co-investigator in the International IVIG Study Group in ARC patients (AIDS) (1984-1987).
- Akzo-Nobel (Organon Teknika) partner in Research Award (1992).
- Genzyme recognition and contribution to research and development purposes Award (1994).
- Patent holder on CMV antigen and its use in vaccination and diagnostic purposes (1996).
- WHO's WHO International of Professionals selection (1998).
- Founder of the International collaborating Group on Onco vaccination (AIMO) (1999).
- Founder and chairman of the International Tissue Engineering Research Association (ITERA) (2004).
- Member of the EASL, BASL, ISSCR, GSZ.
- Member of the Advisory Committee of ISSAC.
- Author and co-author of different publications and peer reviewed publications.
- He was a fellow at the National Institute of Health in 1986 at the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology (Prof Dr R Gallo) Research project on HHV 6 Coordinators Prof Dr D. Ablashi and Prof Dr GRF Krueger.
