Most successful quarter in history - 7,000 samples stored in Q2 2009, 11% up on Q1 2009
Cryo-Save Group N.V. (AIM: CRYO, "Cryo-Save" or "the Group"), Europe's leading stem cell bank, has published its Q2 2009 sample storage numbers for the quarter to 30 June 2009.
7,000 samples were stored in Q2 2009, up 11% over Q1 2009 (6,300 samples) and up 6% over Q2 2008 (6,600 samples), which was the Group's best quarter in history.
Rob Koremans, Chief executive, commented:
"We are seeing the benefits from our investment programme over the last 12 months with this notable increase in storage numbers - our highest to date. In this second quarter we saw satisfying growth not only in our main countries Spain and Italy, but also in India and South Eastern Europe. "
"We are also very pleased with the acquisition of Salus Futura in Italy and our distribution agreement with Labco in Spain, which will strengthen our position in these important countries. Furthermore, in the first half of this year we invested in our new French operation, which is now ready to launch our services."
"This achievement proves that to date our growth has been sustained despite the current economic crisis and we remain confident for the second half of the year."
The Group expects to publish its interim results for the six months to 30 June 2009 during the week commencing 14 September 2009.
